Based in Colorado, REP Fitness was founded in 2012 by two gym-loving brothers. We offer a full line of gym gear designed by in-house, weightlifting engineers for both commercial and home gyms. Our gear is designed for modern training and will stand by you on your hardest day. Here at REP, we believe that getting a PR is hard, but getting great gear shouldn't be.
Brothers Ryan and Shane Mcgrotty started REP in Longmont, Colorado, in a 1,200-square-foot retail storefront with a two-car garage. Their shop wasn't a big, flashy space, but even in the humble garage, the brothers' goal was to see people's eyes light up when they walked into the space. They wanted to bring back the art of customer experience and sell high-quality gear they would (and did) buy, use, and love themselves.
Our respect for those who provide our freedom and security is what drove our desire to give back. In 2023, we chose to pledge $100,000 to three great charities that help military and first responder's families. We can ensure the money we give goes to those with the greatest need, and continues our tradition of honoring those who serve our nation and our community.
The Teton Training Bar is a high-value, intermediate weightlifting barbell with needle bearing sleeves, a medium volcano knurl, and an IWF-standard 20kg (28mm) or 15kg (25mm) shaft. The Delta Basic Bar is an introductory mixed-use barbell that favors powerlifting, with brass bushing sleeves, a medium volcano knurl, and a 29mm shaft with dual IPF and IWF markings. The Badlands Bar is an intermediate powerlifting barbell for squats, bench, and deadlifts, featuring bronze bushing sleeves, an aggressive mountain knurl, and a 29mm IPF-standard shaft.
Bushing and bearing sleeves provide ample rotation, with ball or needle bearings offering faster, smoother, and quieter spin, suitable for Olympic lifts. Bushing sleeves excel in slower, strength-focused powerlifting movements. Barbell knurling, a crosshatch pattern on the shaft, boosts hand grip. Mountain, aggressive knurl suits powerlifting for max lifts, while volcano knurl is used on our weightlifting and mixed-use barbells, offering good grip without tearing up your hands.
REP's barbells are designed to work with any standard plates featuring 2" diameter center holes. These bars are designed to last many years with just 3-in-1 oil added for lubrication. Bright zinc coating and black chrome finish offer tough wear and corrosion resistance, with the former creating a shiny aesthetic and the latter a sleeker, thinner appearance.
