From Colorado-based REP Fitness, founded by two gym-loving brothers in 2012, comes a full line of gym gear designed by in-house, weightlifting engineers for both commercial and home gyms. Brothers Ryan and Shane Mcgrotty started REP in Longmont, Colorado, in a 1,200-square-foot retail storefront with a two-car garage, filled with a few pieces of equipment and stacked bumper plates. Their goal was to bring back the art of customer experience and sell high-quality gear they would use and love themselves.
REP's respect for those who provide freedom and security drove their desire to give back. In 2023, they chose to pledge $100,000 to three great charities that help military and first responder's families: The First Responders Children's Foundation, Folds of Honor, and the Gary Sinise Foundation.
The new and improved FT-5000 2.0 Functional Trainer from REP Fitness is a highly versatile cable machine that's perfect for a home gym but with full, commercial-grade capabilities. The new version is smaller, more versatile, easier to use, higher-end, and overall more beautiful.
This full, versatile trainer features 21 cable positions with dual weight stacks that top out at 224lbs each, for a total of 448lbs at a 2:1 ratio (moving 100lbs feels like 50lbs). The trolley is slimmer and lighter than ever before, with no rollers, reduced material, pre-lubricated uprights, and a repositioned handle, allowing for quick and easy adjustments.
The cable column markings are laser-etched and numbered on the inside of the uprights, and the sturdy, 11-gauge frame is double-coated with a chip-resistant, electrostatic powder coating and topped with a matte black finish.
The improved trolley is lighter and has a smaller profile than the original, providing a greater range of motion. The upgraded pulleys are aluminum instead of plastic, more durable, and provide a smoother pull. The FT-5000 2.0 also features multiple pull-up options integrated right into the functional trainer, allowing users to challenge different grip, arm, and back muscles.
The FT-5000 2.0 is compatible with a wide range of cable attachments, such as the ankle cuff, sports handle, tricep rope, tricep pressdown bar, and multi-grip curl bar.
